This community is confined to this high cove. The Farley Loop trail is located less than 100m from plot center. There the Pinus strobus seems to be slightly more dominant. Down slope from the polygon the forest becomes
mixed-mesophytic (see BLUE.44).;Old skid trails and cut stumps are found throughout the polygon. There is no hunting in the State Park this could explain the sparse undergrowth.
Representativeness
Small patch, acidic high cove. The T2 is dominated by Tsuga canadensis but also contains a large amount of Pinus strobus. The S1 is dominated by both hemlock and Rhododendron maximum. The S2 and herbaceous layers are almost non existent. Less rocky than t
